“You got soft on your trip to Spain” 😂😂😂 I love Stevie and Craig so much lmao
Completely agree with Frank. I've seen to many young players, with horrible injuries, that never come back the same.
If that was Havertz getting sent off Arteta would be hugging him.
Leboeuf is spot on. The guy went through a 16 year old like a freight train and could’ve easily broken his leg if he’d gotten it wrong. Then the kid gives him a little shove with his hip and gets a red. Ridiculous from the ref.
Frenchman is livid 😡
Craig speaking, is just like how delap would talk about how strikers are so poor compared to his days
Frank is spot on.
Frank is right. That was red card tackle
remember Phil Foden got a red card at the beginning of this season, got provoked and reacted, the same thing. We know it's the rule, but this is not good football.
initially I thought so but the thing is when he turns 17 “oh but he’s 17!” when he turns 18: “oh but he’s only 18!” you have to at some point talk to him like any adult because he is in the position an adult would be in
Dowman got lucky honestly..that tackle 😊could have ended his career
The fact that people would rather him dive and roll around on the ground as opposed to letting someone know “don’t 2 foot tackle me” is everything that is wrong with the game. The game is soft and encourages diving and embellishments. It is pathetic!
He might be 16, but he's not just any 16 year old. With great talent comes great responsibility.
It’s not a big deal unless United lose to Grimsby. Then this panel won’t stop talking about it
I don’t really know what people want Arteta to do. What is wrong in reacting to a teenager’s mistake in order to show him how much discipline matters in a team like Arsenal, make him understand how big is the team he is representing, and how that little mistake can cost the team in terms of reputation and standards. Why should you always hug a player with such a costly mistake simply because he is a teenager, when will he learn then? For me Arteta did the right thing, let the boy know that discipline is what has built this Arsenal team to where it is today, we got no red card the whole of last season, and no penalty was caused except in the champions league final. This is the standards we demand at this football club, and anyone who falls short must be made to carry the weight of what he has done. This is what keeps the standards intact, and this will not have any negative impact in the boy’s career by God’s grace. Therefore, much love to both Arteta and Max, COYG❤️🤍
Dowman's wrongdoing was not reacting MORE forcefully to that egregious - potential career ending - tackle. Frank is totally right with his righteous indignation.
Oh come on. Why is this such a big topic? He got red carded in the 86th minute at a time when Arsenal should have had the game in complete control. And by all accounts the entire game was played with a lot of extra activity. That's the only way some teams can fashion a win against a proper opponent. I do agree with Frank that protection of the players must be paramount. If someone wants to deliberately take out another player in an egregious way, that person should be sent off.
You know y’all bias is never hidden, if it was Man U or Chelsea or Liverpool yall would blow this up lol
The learning experience should never be about "getting red cards". The learning should be the dressing down - hard, by your own coach. The dressing down is the learning. The red card is the consequence of a lack of learning. There is learning. And there are consequences for not learning.
Stevie is right because he was a manager... It's educational... If the player doesn't learn.... You're in trouble..
