ITV News understands that one line of inquiry is whether representatives of the Iranian regime paid others to carry out the plot on their behalf.
Five men were arrested on suspicion of explosive and terrorism offences after armed police stopped three vans in the early hours of Sunday. A specialist police operation took place, using a bomb disposal device.
A major incident was declared, with armed police manning a cordon near the village of Whelford in Gloucestershire, near the site of the airbase which is used by the United States Air Force (USAF).

You're not telling me the vans have parked right outside the airbase gates. Because if that's the case and the Americans or whoever was responsible for security at the airbase weren't watching their CCTV then somebody will be getting court marshalled surely
