The majority of properties affected by power cuts during Storm Boelo have now had their electricity restored.
Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE) said around 12,500 properties were without power at one stage.
In the Republic of Ireland, about 5,000 homes, farms and businesses were still without electricity on Sunday evening.
The storm saw gusts of wind reach almost 80mph in some areas on Saturday and led to flights being cancelled at Belfast City, Belfast International and Dublin Airport.
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) said around 470 incidents have been reported to the department.
A spokesperson said: "This has mainly included fallen trees and branches and surface water build up on roads. Staff worked throughout the day to respond to incidents."
Andrew Cupples, head of system operations, for NIE Networks said: "Thanks to the efforts of our engineers, contracting partners and support staff, we have now been able to restore power to around 11,500 customers.
"With less than 1,000 properties still affected the hope is that our crews are able to restore power to all of those properties tonight, depending on the complexity of each repair."
The company said customers can check estimated restoration times using its Powercheck tool, external.
