True. The Left was once stronger politically and also initiated various Palestinian-Israeli activities to bring people closer and understand each other. Unfortunately all this has stopped. Especially after October 7, there is hardly any Israeli who would support Palestinian statehood- I can understand it emotionally, but I think it's the wrong path for Israel. The bitter irony is that those killed by Hamas, or being taken into Gaza, were mostly peace activists- like the elderly woman released in the first hostage deal, if I am not mistaken. Who shook hands and exchanged words. But who remembers her..

When the Romans took it, it was their land; when the Ottomans took it, it was their land; and when the British Empire took it, it was their land. When Israel ruled it, it was their land. Lands were fought for and won. When the Arabs tried to take over Israel, it would have been their land if Israel had been destroyed. However, Israel won the war and took land from Egypt and Jordan, so this belonged to Israel. Later, Israel gave back the land to Egypt and Jordan in exchange for peace. So, how is Israel accused of occupying neighboring land if they gave it back? At the end of the day, you tried taking their land (Israel) they took yours, and now you all complain about it!"

Al Jazeera talks a lot about PM Netanyahu and the elections in Israel. That is only natural. They don`t have much to talk about elections in Qatar. Or about Mahmud Abbas and his elections. He cancelled his elections, once again.
