Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has delivered a defiant speech at Likud party headquarters, claiming his party is Israel’s largest and arguing that the right-wing bloc has a decisive majority.
Netanyahu highlighted Israel’s military operations in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, describing them as major security achievements. He vowed to continue working with US President Donald Trump to confront what he called the Iranian threat.
He also rejected the prospect of forming a government dependent on Arab parties, calling for a united right-wing coalition.
However, early exit polls indicate that neither Netanyahu’s bloc nor the opposition has secured a clear parliamentary majority. Final results and coalition negotiations will determine who can form Israel’s next government.

10 years ago, Netanyahu became Israel’s longest serving Prime Minister. Staying in power too long does something to you. You begin believing that you are a king and have a right to do whatever you want, legal or not, and nobody has the right to tell you otherwise. For Netanyahu, this just reinforced what was said to him by a prominent Rabbi in America; that he will be the last King of Israel, and hand the scepter to the Messiah. In his mind, he can’t lose, unless evil stole his victory away, so he will fight to take that back, and believe it to be just, with God by his side. He has a messiah complex, and will be the end of Israel and doesn’t care if the rest of the Middle-East or world goes down with him.
