Gambhir is the best coach so far... I have been following cricket since 2010... And he is one who has delivered. 2 ICC trophies, 1 Asia cup, what else someone can deliver... yes India has been awful under his tenure in tests... but in white he is the best... Under Shastri people used to complain we are not winning any ICC tournament... just paytm trophies... but now we are winning ICC trophies still people are complaining..
Gambhir is the most successful white ball coach India has ever produced. He isn't bothered about winning good for nothing bilaterals. He is using the bilaterals only to experiment certain possibilities and skills of a player. Those who are critical about him are blind fans of Dhoni and Virat. India's downfall in test cricket started after the introduction of WTC. To qualify for the finals, we were forced to prepare rank turners. That worst thinking literally exposed our weaknesses against playing quality spin. It was started in Shastri 's tenure and partially exposed in Dravid's tenure and got fully exposed in Gambhir's period. This is the major reason for the downfall of our test team. Blaming Gambhir alone won't results a faster redemption in the red ball format. Now our test team is going through a transition phase. Results will come. We have to be patient ‼️

Agenda based people will never be satisfied until their person is in the chair. A sound argument usually has names to replace the current coach, nobody has an ounce of idea who will coach T20 side after he's done. We're all banking on VVS, but we remember the emerging asia cup where we got rolled over by Bangbros in a superover. And who gives a damn about pan masala trophies? I remember a few faces that have criticized the team for only winning bilaterals and are now sad that we're winning ICC trophies and not bilaterals.
