At our bi-annual Parliament Day event, almost 100 of our Volunteer Campaigns Ambassadors came together to launch our new campaign to #UnlockCancerBreakthroughs.
We're calling on governments across the UK to:
- Unlock faster clinical trials by removing the barriers slowing down commercial and non‑commercial clinical trial set‑up
- Unlock global talent to transform the UK into the destination of choice for cancer research talent
- Unlock investment by committing to long-term, protected increases in research funding in all four nations of the UK.

The Government should prioritise new and effective cancer treatments. The primitive and harsh chemo and radiotherapy is pretty much all that is offered. People can't afford and are often too poorly to travel abroad. Let's make the UK a centre of excellence and save lives here.

I've done 2 race for life's now at Garons park, 1st time was for my Pop's prostate cancer twice, Myself that had it burnt out of my cervix, my other Friend breast cancer, and the 1 I run with had cut from her face. Next time I did it with my 8 year old niece.
