Majid Al Futtaim is pressing ahead with major investment despite regional conflict disrupting tourism, travel and consumer spending across the Middle East.
The privately held group operates shopping malls, Carrefour supermarkets, VOX Cinemas, hotels, residential communities and digital retail businesses. Group CEO Ahmed Galal Ismail tells Dan Murphy the company is staying the course with a nearly $30 billion development pipeline while continuing to invest in technology and artificial intelligence.
Ismail also discusses the growth of Majid Al Futtaim’s digital businesses, continued investment in physical retail and expansion opportunities in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and East Africa. He says the group sees a path to doubling its equity value over the next five to seven years.

Majid Al Futtaim really has to step up...
They have serious management issues, i secured a contract with them for their escalators and elevators, completed my end of the contract before the agreed time, three years in im still waiting for a response from their end.😊
AI vs Human Ingenuity, well said !
the uae are the best - they are amazing
Can u ask these people when are they compansating me
Emaar has disrupted their business model altogether, so they'll need to continuously improve.
🎉
Are u going to stop this or no
I do wish Iran would be more cooperative and not throw a spanner in the works and let UAE prosper .
I lived in the UAE for 40 years, and if I were you, I would not take these predictions seriously. And here's why. In those 40 years, I heard many big promises: people will land on Mars, people will build a colony on the moon, flying taxis will fill the sky, the UAE will become the global center for cryptocurrency and AI, a tower one mile high will be built, Palm Island 1, 2, and 3 will be built, and "The World" islands will be built on the ocean. These promises sound amazing, but most either failed or were shelved or after the announcement was made - there was no follow up. So why do they do this? Their purpose is to make the UAE look futuristic, modern, and successful just like how other Arab countries make these futuristic predictions (Remember Saudi and Neon City and the One Mile City?) My reasoning is simple: a prediction about 20 or 30 years from now is not a fact, it is a guess; no one can predict what will happen next week, so no one can promise what will happen in 2050. So why this so called 'report'? When a news channel reports what the company will achieve in the future without any skepticism, that is not news, that is advertising. So take whatever they are stating with a pinch of salt. I personally find all this very entertaining for as long as the video lasts. And then I get back to reality. LM
whats the point of this video if the company is privately held? no one can buy stock in it so why do we care?
If uae doesn’t cut with Israel. Everyone should boycott uae
hmm not sure the malls are overrrated...
