Premier-designate Lorne Doerkson addressed British Columbians on Sunday, a day after the B.C. Conservatives beat the NDP in a snap election, marking a dramatic shift in the political landscape.
B.C. residents “asked for something different and we are going to deliver it,” he said at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.
Doerkson said that with the increasing cost of living, too many British Columbians have lost faith in government, adding that it is his job “to prove them wrong.” The B.C. Conservative Party is projected to win a majority.

I'm from Victoria, and we definitely needed change. Now let the hard work begin. The drug problem should be number 1 because it indeed affects all the economic problems we have. Stores are closing and going bankrupt due to this problem. Safety has been at risk for years. Imagine how many millions were wasted on this election. Eby was very irresponsible. Looks good on him. I'm glad he resigned from leadership.
We may disagree on how we achieve those goals, but I wish you every success. Godspeed, Mr. Doerkson.

Please repeal DRIPA immediately and end mandatory "land acknowledgments" in the public service. Scrap the reconciliation Ministry entirely.

DRIPA not only has been a disaster, it was passed by the NDP with zero consultation with the British Columbia voters.
Affordable housing for working class
Please enforce a zero tolerance policy over drug addiction and financial strain over healthcare resources. I don't take drugs and I don't have sympathy towards drug addicts and trouble-makers on the street who willingly harm themselves and our communities. Quite frankly, their negligence over self-harm and street harassment have told me how little they care about me and most people in our Province.
It’s a strange feeling to suddenly feel some hope again.
Common sense government and transparency. I was so sick of the NDP lies.
