For the first time in more than 20 years, a historic meeting is taking place between Canada's first ministers and First Nation's leaders in Ottawa on Monday.
Prime Minister Mark Carney will be in attendance, with the summit set to address key issues that affect the relationship between the Crown and First Nations.
The meeting comes as the Carney government works to speed up major project approvals and development — efforts some First Nations chiefs say threaten their rights.
