B.C. premier-designate Lorne Doerkson doubled down on his promise to repeal the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA) following his victory in Saturday’s snap election.
Doerkson said he is committed to working with First Nations communities across B.C. but argued that DRIPA “hasn’t really solved anything,” adding that the province remains locked in numerous legal battles.
“Legislation that forces two parties together doesn’t seem very beneficial to anybody,” he said.

It all sounds good however, I’ll believe it when I see it. DRIPA IS KILLING THIS PROVINCE!
There is only one elected government and only one Canada. FN seem to use thier position as a means to extort and exploit projects for thier own benefit. They dont just block developments. They hold out until there is a lot of money for them and then they seem to not be so worried about the environment or wildlife.

Dripa was created by the United Nations, they are not an elected body, they have no responsibility to how a country or its states/ provinces are run. Reconciliation must be done between first nations and everyone that lives on the land in dispute without outside influence.
