Nilay looking like the rhythm guitarist in a 2005 emo band [complementary]
All Mosseri does is steal other companies features, he just having problems because there’s nobody to copy yet
FaceTime cam got this looking like an AI video.
Thank god for the captions, I'm not a native english speaker, however I do understand a lot, but with Nilay I always strugle.

Can you slide the IG app or any app that isn’t optimize to one side of the inner display? Essentially treating it like duo screens instead of a tablet screen?
Saludos ! 🇨🇱
It's such a tiny amount of users (even a few million users is tiny) that it barely makes it worth investing time building for it. We have over a million MAU and even the iPad barely registers.
What is wrong with the audio recording here? Couldn’t make out any words you were saying.
I think the whole Meta company only received one unit to refine their apps on and Eduardo of the Edits team may have hoarded most of the time with it leaving the other app teams to vibe code workarounds. Just a guess.
Saw one in person and the inside screen is pretty washed out. Especially if you have it next to a normal iPhone screen
I want this followed so closely. It’s funny that Apple is finally pushing these big software companies to do something different
Are all the apps optimized for the Samsung fold? Did I miss the round the clock coverage of the apps being optimized for that thing? 🙄
yeah I'm returning mine. not ready yet. I'm almost certain next year's model will have face ID and maybe a telephoto lens. and by then what needs to be optimized will be. not gonna drop 2k every year.
"tricky" aka bad UX.
Am i the only one that doesn't care about social media apps being "optimized" for it?
It is pathetic to listen to your excuses. Folding phones have existed for nearly a decade, and app developers are already accustomed to the form factor, so this is not a new development. It is insane that Apple released a device in this state, so stop making excuses for these trillion-dollar companies.
Oh man, you feel good about that “not saying I told you so” - the smarm of the verge on this particular product has been incredible. Almost like y’all are farming engagement
This audio quality is legit unacceptable from “professional” journalists. Did anyone preview this?
The problem, speaking as someone who has designed a million web apps that have to work at pretty much every resolution and aspect ratio, is that they moved controls to the side on a screen that is still portrait, and pretty much every design system assumes, I think correctly, that until 1:1, horizontal space is the more scarce one, so things should scroll horizontality _after_ scrolling vertically, but the side buttons mess with that because now people can't use that for overflow indication properly because it's only part of the screen, so scroll overflow has to, what, change where it starts on the right? It's just a bad design. Don't even get me started on the right-handedness of it all...
