We’re inventing frustration now lmfao it looks fine
Truly don’t think anyone is gonna be like “man, vertical video isn’t filling the screen on my iPhone that turns into a tablet, RETURN” like that’s just some nonsense.
I have one of these and I love scrolling it, opening the inner screen, and having that big screen to browse
Man, Quibi was just too early it needs to come back lol
Infact I found it to be opposite in case of youtube, vertical video shorts experience is far better on iPhone duo than regular phones. Just rotate the phone in portrait position when the phone is in open position. One thing i have observed it’s also dependent on how that video short was made. For some videos it shows without black bars and some with black bars. Wish I could share a screenshot here. Even the one with the black bars doesn’t look bad at all.
It’s truly transparent how some critics are acting like the iPhone Duo won't get optimization for the biggest apps. Selling out its initial 1 million units in just 3 days proves the demand is there, and developers aren't going to ignore that kind of momentum.
As someone who is on his third day with a duo, it’s truly not as big of a deal as homeboy here says. Dramaaaaatic.
Watching vertical video itself is ridiculous. I still wish youtube doesn't shove shorts into youtube app whenever i search for something..
i dont plan on getting one but i also struggle to see how scrolling vertically on a smaller screen really differs from scrolling vertically on a larger screen, altho the taskbar at the bottom is weird placement for vertical 9:16 content. i feel like they're struggling to come up with ways to word disliking the device. just say you dont like it and move on lmao.
I'll actually prefer this form factor for vertical video if they end up putting all of the icons overlaid on the video into the sidebar. I find that I end up watching more Shorts on a desktop browser than on my phone because of how insufferable it is that the UI covers up so much of the video.
Turning the device doesn’t make me feel ridiculous, isn’t that what the larger screen is for?
Just looks goofy from my perspective but to each their own!
We all know these issues will be addressed in the following year as the software is adjusted. FYI I'm an android user.
Idk why we need a foldable phone. Everything is a compromise except I don’t have to Carry a tablet and phone.
Vertical videos look small in horizontal mode, so you have to turn your phone 90°. I am so glad i watched experts to tell me. Otherwise i would have spend 2000$ and be really embarrassed.
It’s so clunky, I’m glad I waited
All of the reviewers are off - love the duo no complaints.
The trifold is the one that nailed the inner and outer display. 21:9 outer. 16:10 inner
Yeah sure I too was very concerned with watching verticalslop on my $2000 phone
