Brick on brick violence
I'll never understand why the term "millitary-grade" is still trusted by consumers.
That’s mainly because the rugged phone itself is quite heavy compared to the phone with the case
Idk what case that is but it looks like an Otter. Back when I was a kid, my parents only allowed me to use an Otter case (Defender) for my iPhone because I was a clumsy kid who dropped things a lot. I accidentally dropped my phone from the 2nd floor of the house during s construction. Case cracked and had deep scratches, but my phone was completely fine. Now as an adult, I still use these bulky Otter cases even if they don't exactly look good. But phones are so expensive and I can't afford to replace mine in case I drop it and it breaks!
This would make a crazy RhinoShield ad 😂😅.
Daily reminder “military-grade” just means the cheapest stuff
The rugged phone doesn't seem to have a lip around the screen that raises the body of the phone up and prevents the glass from touching the ground. That feature alone can save your screen. If anything is sticking up from the ground then your screen is toast without the raised edges. In the case of the rugged phone it doesn't seem to matter though because the corners seem to be smashed inwards and no glass is going to survive that simply because glass can't flex or dent inward and prevent itself breaking. Had the screen been plastic that feels like glass it might have gotten scratched up and dented but it wouldn't have shattered.
is it surviving this
Bro casually buried a niche industry.
I wonder how many rugged cases it would take to stop a bullet 😭
malformed case after impact is a good thing because it means that specific area absorbed the kinetic energy, having no dents or bruises means the rest of the phone got the damage as well
Meanwhile my Nokia 3310
Thanks for this. Your video confirms my thoughts. I have a rugged phone that I have dropped many times. It is still in great shape. But I feel like typical flagships are overall more scratch-resistant. I like having a brick as a secondary phone. But I don't know if I'd want one as my main or only phone. I love my Tank 5 Pro though. If I could only have one phone, I'd rather have the Tank than an iPhone. The Tank has a projector built in, massive battery, thermal imaging, night vision, a micro sd slot, a headphone jack, an IR blaster, camping light, a police siren, and other very useful hardware features. Mainstream phone makers have largely abandoned useful hardware features. They focus only on the screen, camera, processor, and AI bloatware. Durability has come a long way. I had a friend in college who accidentally dropped her iPhone 4 out of a window somehow. The Otterbox Defender case was in perfect condition. But the phone inside of it was shattered to oblivion.
Next video iphone vs iphone case on an android 😂
NOKIA LAUGHING IN CORNER 😂😂
The rugged phone is far heavier basically because of the bigger ba3 that could last longer for workers who require it, and it also has a huge flash light. And is more practical for heavy duty than the phone with case, but that is if u have something that could hold it properly (definitely not your hands😂)
The worst part is that he’s not giving the otter box defender series the credit that it deserves. I’ve had these cases for years and I can promise you, you will lose this phone before you break it.
I have a rugged phone that I dropped from my palace that like 50 or 80 meters and it still worked perfectly and it's a doogee from 2021
Nice marking bro😅
Those tough phones are good at job sites. We ran it over with a forklift and that was the end of it. But it definitely held up with a lot of drops 😂
